Open Source Strategy Forum NYC Recap

Rosalie Bartlett, Developer Advocacy Lead

Recently, members of our Goldman Sachs engineering community had a fantastic experience sharing at the Open Source Strategy Forum (OSSF) in NYC. OSSF was hosted by FINOS (Fintech Open Source Foundation) and the Linux Foundation. The event brought together individuals from the financial services, technology, and open source communities.

There were several presentations and a panel (recordings linked below) from Goldman Sachs:

In addition to sharing, we were delighted to receive awards from FINOS, for our contributions to the community:

  • Most Active Member: Goldman Sachs
  • Most Active Individual: Pierre De Belen (Managing Director, Data Engineering)
  • Newcomer Award: Ephrim Stanley (Vice President, Data Engineering)

Collaborating with the FINOS community on Legend (an open source data modeling platform, created by Goldman Sachs and contributed to FINOS) has been incredible. We are also excited to have recently open sourced CatchIT (source code secret scanner) and contributed it to FINOS.

We are looking forward to the next OSSF and continuing to build together!
