Security Master
Unify securities attributes and symbols across multiple data sources under the same consistent framework.
Join financial instrument reference data across the capital structure
The Security Master service from Goldman Sachs enables mapping of different security identifiers across various data sources, classification of securities based on taxonomies such as sectors and subsectors, and tracking of symbology changes resulting from corporate events such as stock splits and mergers. Powered by Goldman Sachs Financial Cloud for Data, the service leverages the same security reference data that the firm uses to unlock the value of its own universe of diverse datasets.
Rely on a robust data framework
A cloud-native service, Security Master offers a robust and resilient framework to source and aggregate, validate, and curate data at scale. Dedicated Goldman Sachs teams mitigate upstream issues and ensure data quality is maintained at high standards, and instrument updates are performed on an intraday basis to meet trading needs. These complex mappings are maintained on an ongoing basis, throughout events which cause a change in corporate structure or symbology.
Streamline your workflow
Removing the complexity of managing numerous formats from various sources and resolving exceptions, such as duplicate data, Security Master can serve as a foundational building block in support of backtesting, screening, and strategy construction, as well as trade processing and asset servicing. The Security Master service collates securities data from disparate cross-vendor financial market venues, making it easier for you to form a complete view of the issuer-instrument hierarchy.
