Billing Upload
This page provides additional information and best practices around the expected fields and format for submitting a billing upload using the secure upload API.
File Generation Rules
The file should be in a excel or .csv format before uploading.

Column A: Client billing account number (alpha-numeric; typically 10 digits long)

Column B: Amount to be debited or credited. Cannot be a negative number, 2 decimal places, no dollar signs, no commas

Column C: MFEEI or CDMF. Total of MFEEI entries MUST EQUAL total of CDMF entries. MFEEI = Debit, CDMF = Credit

Column D: MANAGE. For an Investment Management Fee enter MANAGE

Column E: Enter transaction date. Use TODAY'S date unless the transaction should be posted historically. M/DD/YYYY format

Column F: This is a client-facing description of the transaction, which will be visible in GSCS client portal. Typically, ‘Advisory Fee’ is used. 30 character limit

Column G: Firm’s name. 30 character limit

Column H: internal, leave blank

Column I: optional, can be left blank

Column J: optional, can be left blank
Note
- The last row of the file should be set as the Firm House Account Number in Column A, which is a unique firm-specific account where all the funds are deposited to (alpha-numeric; always starts with IA).
- The fee amount equal to the sum of MFEEI minus the sum of CDMF for individual client accounts in Column B, and CDMF designation in column C.
